JobsinCopenhagen
is the first website of its kind in Denmark listing job
opportunities with English as the main working language.
Contrary to what the name might suggest, we cover
jobs from Aalborg to Malmo. However, Copenhagen stays the
heart of the Danish expat community.
Founded in spring 2006, JobsinCopenhagen
has within half a year managed to offer the largest
collection of English speaking jobs in Denmark. This
means we have already now overtaken all other national
and international job portals in terms of the number of
international jobs they post.
Why did we start with JobsinCopenhagen
There are two main trends which have convinced us that
there is a need for yet another job portal. Firstly,
with more and more companies switching to English as
their main working language, a growing number of
international jobs exists in Denmark. Secondly there is a significant change in
the user behavior of people looking
for jobs on the Internet.
People change jobs much faster and are ready to
move internationally on a shorter notice if the right opportunity is
presented.
The biggest difference is however, that job seekers
increasingly use the Internet in smart and new ways to
find and evaluate their future employer before even
applying. In this respect the job ad as such becomes one but not
the only reference for a job seeker. In the spirit of
the new Internet, or web 2.0, users exchange information
among each others, search for company blogs, forums or
newsgroups or connect on business communities like
LinkedIn
or
ObenBC to meet
people already working for this company.
Other big job portals only slowly seem to realize this
change in user behavior. Opting for quantity rather than
quality they no longer seem to live up to what the user
demands today. The key question is whether they can
actually deliver the high quality job seekers that they
promise to companies.

was founded to fill this gap. We offer a platform
solemnly serving companies looking for highly qualified
international staff. We attract the best and
smartest candidates by providing them with a new platform
and smart tools they really like and use. |
